Our quinta
We made a home here.
We’re a Costa Rican couple who dreamed of living in the countryside. We moved to Tufares to make a home, get to know the land, and learn to care for it. The quinta covers 1.7 hectares, with a creek along one boundary and plenty we’re still working on, a little at a time.

The name carries two meanings. Locura means “madness”: our leap into the life we dreamed of. Split into “lo cura”, it hints at healing, and our hope that time here will do people good. For some, that will mean a quiet stay; for others, a session with Carolina.
We’re preparing a cabin for two. We want to welcome you personally, share what we’re discovering, and give you room to enjoy it at your own pace.

A little at a time
We’re still making room.
The 1.7-hectare quinta can be walked, though the landscape and paths are still developing. The creek runs along one boundary and the descent is steep.
