The Cabin & Shala

One cabin. Two huge windows.
Zero neighbors in your sightline.

The Cabin

Waking up to the ridgeline, nothing in between.

We designed the cabin around a single moment: waking up in a custom-made king bed and seeing the forested ridges of La Cangreja through two floor-anchoring picture windows, side by side, nothing in between.

The rest follows the same logic — light and calm. Warm plywood floors done the Scandinavian way, white walls, a private bathroom in clean subway tile, black steel bones and a green roof that belongs to the landscape. Modern, simple, built by hand here in Tufares (with a maestro de obras who has more patience than we deserve).

The Shala

Yours for whatever the morning asks.

The cabin opens directly onto an open-air space with a high roof and the same view. It's yours for whatever the morning asks: yoga, a sound session with Caro, journaling, watching toucans argue in the fruit trees, or doing absolutely nothing with great commitment.

It comfortably hosts small group sessions too — if you're bringing a retreat, talk to us.

Honesty Corner

We're in a living village, not a nature reserve. About 90% of the time the soundtrack is birds, wind, and rain on the roof. The other 10% is real rural Costa Rica: a neighbor cutting grass, kids playing an evening pickup game at the community field, a rooster with a broken clock. If you want sterile silence, we're not it. If you want alive and peaceful, you'll be very happy here.
